In 2021, Spanish exports to the Americas accounted for 1.5% of the country's total fresh fruit and vegetable exports

In 2021, Spain exported 166,620 tons of fruits and vegetables worth 228 million euro to the Americas. The country shipped 116,385 tons of fruits to the Americas. The main fruit exported by volume was the orange with 33,858 tons, followed by plums with 20,958 tons and apples with 13,205 tons. Vegetable exports to the Americas stood at 50,235 tons and were led by garlic exports with 30,351 tons and onions with 16,601 tons, according to data from the Department of Customs and Excise, processed by FEPEX.

In 2021, Spanish exports to the Americas accounted for 1.5% of the country's total fresh fruit and vegetable exports. The main destinations in the Americas were Canada, with 57,140 tons and 67.8 million euro, Brazil, with 48,691 tons and 51.2 million euro, and the United States, with 32,993 tons and 77.7 million euro.

Spain exported 134,308 tons of fruits and vegetables worth 113.5 million euro to the African continent and 132,634 tons worth 172,642 tons to the Asian continent.

Exports to Europe in 2021 accounted for 97% of the total and amounted to 13 million tons, worth 15,162 million euro. Of these, a total of 11.1 million tons worth EUR 12,534 million were sent to the EU-27, and the rest to non-EU countries, mainly the United Kingdom, Switzerland, and Norway.
