On June 6, Panya, general manager of the Thailand Kao Charoen Transportation Company, revealed that at present, the Kao Charoen Transportation Company has signed an agreement with Pan Asia Silk Road Co., Ltd. (PAS) and Asia Express Logistics Co., Ltd. (AEL), to better deliver Thai goods and agricultural products to the Chinese market. It is reported that on June 6, 16 boxes of durians with a weight of about 276 tons and 19 boxes of mangosteens with a weight of about 333 tons from the eastern region of Thailand have been successfully shipped to China.
Panya said that for China and most destination countries, the future market demand will be for petrochemical products, such as plastic pellets. It is reported that a batch of plastic pellets produced by PTT Public Company Limited will be shipped to Russia by rail within this month. In addition, if the situation in Russia stabilizes, it will continue to export goods to European countries by rail.
Finally, Panya mentioned that since the use of railways to transport goods, the shortage of refrigerators with built-in generators has always existed, which has seriously affected export demand. In view of this, Kao Charoen Transportation Company, Pan-Asia Silk Road Co., Ltd. and Asia Express Logistics Co., Ltd. jointly procured 200 reefers and installed built-in generators, aiming to reach a transportation volume of 3,000 containers to support fruit exports from the eastern and southern regions of Thailand.
