Fruit growing generates more than R$2 billion for the economy the Brazilian state of Paraná annually. The great potential to generate income and add value to agricultural production has led many producers to enter the activity.
In 2019, Seab (State Department of Agriculture and Supply) launched the program for Revitalization of Viticulture in Paraná (Revitis), encouraging the implementation of vineyards in the state and training producers. Last week, farmers from the Southwest region participated in a Regional Winegrowers Seminar, in Ampére. The intention was to show how producers can have more productive vineyards, becoming more efficient and improving the quality of agricultural property income.
In the Southwest region, seven municipalities have already benefited from the Revitis program, totaling an investment of R$ 2 million, with resources from Seab and a counterpart from the municipalities.
