Maison Lecouffe has recently acquired a machine for the automated control of potato samples, named Qualicelp. According to Hervé Lecouffe, the company’s manager, the machine has a number of advantages. “It allows us to obtain precise data. We want, for example, to know the size of each tuber. Additionally, thanks to the calibration of the camera, the photos, which are integrated into the system automatically, are of very good quality. They are essential when we offer batches to our clients.”
“Unlike a traditional laboratory, Qualicelp evolves constantly. We work with other structures that have already invested and this new equipment facilitates our communication with them. We also appreciate the compactness of the machine, which was very easy to integrate in our premises.”
A great way to be even more professional
According to the manager, this substantial acquisition is consistent with the development of the company. “It is an investment that accompanies our growth. We have more and more samples, so we had to find a way to connect our lab with our computer system. We studied the project for two years and we are convinced that Qualicelp will help us work better with our clients. Three years ago, we obtained the IFS certification and we want to show them that our professionalization process continues.”
Better communication with the producers
In addition to the technical advantages of the machine, Qualicelp is also a great tool of communication with the producers. “We can now transmit to them precise and objective reports. They can rely on this data for their own progress. It is also a great investment for the well-being of our team, as it will help us improve our skills, perform less strenuous tasks and work faster.”
