Provid Peru joins Shaffe

The Association of Fresh Fruit Exporters of the Southern Hemisphere, Shaffe, announced that Provid Peru, the Association of Table Grape Producers of Peru, was joining it.

"We are very happy to incorporate more and more associations, as well as countries to our association. We recently incorporated Zimbabwe and are now welcoming Provid. This shows that the work we have done to date is important and representative,” said Nelli Hajdu, Secretary-General of Shaffe.

"We participated in a meeting of the board of the AGAP, the Association of Agricultural Producers Guilds of Peru, where we explained the work that Shaffe is leading in the southern hemisphere as a member of the Global Coalition of Fresh Products Trade Associations. Peru and other southern hemisphere countries are very concerned about the increase in costs at the logistical and input levels, as they can compromise the survival of fresh product industries at a global level and the global food supply, that is, food security," said the president of Shaffe and representative of ASOEX, Charif Christian Carvajal.

"During this meeting, Provid, a trade association that is part of AGAP, expressed its desire to join Shaffe, which we welcomed in a positive way and with great pleasure because this administration has been working to increase its number of members and positioning. We know that it's easier to come up with solutions that benefit the industry as a whole when we tackle the issues together.”
