According to China Customs statistics, in March, China's imports of fruits and fruit products reached US$1.175 billion, a year-on-year increase of 30.72%; the import volume was 727,000 tons, a year-on-year increase of 16.30%.
In the first three months, China's cumulative imports of fruits and related products reached US$4.442 billion, a year-on-year increase of 17.69%; the import volume was 2.1107 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 17.01%.
In terms of market, in the first three months, the top ten countries/regions of China's fruit and product imports were - Chile, Thailand, Vietnam, Peru, the Philippines, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Australia, and Brazil, which together accounted for 93.82% of the import value of this produce in China.
In the first three months, Chile was the most important market for China's fruit and product imports, with an import value of US$2.343 billion, a year-on-year increase of 21.12%. In the month of March, the import value was 475 million US dollars, an increase of 114.14% year-on-year.
