Production is expected to reach two and a half million kilos

Barbastro's first pink tomatoes will hit the markets in June

Barbastro is expected to start marketing its pink tomatoes in mid-June. According to the Brand Association, the region is expected to produce two million million kilos of Pink Tomato in this campaign, although they are confident it could reach two and a half million kilos.

According to Oscar Olivera, the president of the Association of the Pink Tomato Brand, it's important to continue producing the highest quality product, independent of the marketing figures. "The objective is quality and flavor."

The national Pink Tomato of Barbastro brand was registered in 2014, and the Pink Tomato of Barbastro Brand Association has been supervising that its standards are met since then. That is to say, that nobody uses its name fraudulently and that this very prestigious brand in Spain and Europe continues to grow with prestige and rigor.
