Officials from Ukraine and the United Kingdom have signed an agreement on the abolition of import duties and tariff quotas in bilateral trade. The agreement should hold for at least a year and can be extended by mutual agreement of both parties, the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine noted.
It will now be possible for Ukrainian producers to sell flour, grain, dairy products, poultry and semi-finished products, tomato paste, honey, corn, wheat, juices, mushrooms, sugar, etc. to the UK without duties. These are the goods that Ukraine traditionally sells to the UK. The agreement will also increase the flow of foreign exchange earnings in the country, the Ministry of Economy said.
