"This might not be one of the best periods, but the food sector has never stopped investing, especially when it comes to fruit and vegetables," reports Erica Gregnanin, marketing manager at Frigoneveneta, a company established in 1980 in Villa Bartolomea (Verona) that initially dealt with commercial plants and then passed on to industrial chilling for big retail chains.
"Compared with other years, there has been an increase in those who contact us to upgrade their systems. Our sector benefits from the funds granted for capital goods 4.0, so things have always been on the move, albeit with a slowdown."
For Frigoveneta, big retail chains and warehouses are important clients. "For the past 5-6 years, we have been investing in solutions to improve energy efficiency and therefore save on energy costs. The control units, which are equipped with our software, can optimize consumption. Operators can monitor and manage consumption at all times."
The TeleGest system has obtained the Industry 4.0 Ready certificate by Bureau Veritas, testament to the company's constant technological innovation process.
"At Macfrut, we will be able to explain TeleGest's extension to visitors in person - the Unigest additional service that enables to manage and monitor energy use in real time. Each utility is managed smartly based on consumption data and customized parameters. This system guarantees the maximum efficiency of plants with significant energy saving and lower consumption, maintenance costs and management time."
