The spring orange is a popular domestic fruit in the Chinese market. Unlike most domestic oranges, which enter the market in the winter, spring oranges generally enter the market between late March and early April.
The spring orange is a late-season orange variety that blooms between March and April, and the oranges ripen in March or April of the subsequent year. Their growing period is exceptionally long. The oranges stay on the tree through the winter, which allows them to accumulate much more sugar than regular oranges. Spring oranges are thus much sweeter, and they are juicy as well. "We use our own 'True Enjoy' brand to sell spring oranges. We also package the oranges in delicate gift boxes. We have small 2.5 kg boxes and larger 4.25 kg boxes. The latter sell for around 50 yuan [7.69 USD] per box."
