More than 6000 hectares of bananas in Guizhou are ripe and on the market

In Guizhou, the season for local bananas to ripen and hit the market has arrived. Entering the local banana Park in Ceheng County, the banana sorting, packaging, e-commerce and processing areas all present a lively scene.

As a local banana industry demonstration base, Ceheng County Banana Industrial Park has planted about 80 hectares of bananas and selected 19 varieties including Jinfen No. 1, Red Banana, Saigon Banana, and Redhead pink Banana.

Through the introduction of high-quality fruit seedlings, the use of modern management technologies such as water and fertilizer integrated with precision drip irrigation, and the team of Professor Zhang Xiyan, the chief scientist of the national banana industry technology system, who was hired to technical guidance on planting, and connecting with experts and professors from the Guizhou Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and major agricultural colleges and universities across the country to conduct online training for farmers to solve the problem. The output and quality of Ceheng bananas have been continuously improved, and "Ceheng Nuomi Banana" has become an increasingly famous market brand.

In order to extend the industrial chain, the industrial park has also developed banana processing products such as banana facial masks, banana moon cakes, and banana honey, and built supporting industrial projects such as banana sorting centers, mushroom stick processing plants, research bases, and industrial development (research) centers to mobilize social capital to develop industries.

According to reports, the county's banana planting area has expanded to over 6,233 hectares, with an annual output value of over 300 million RMB.
