Alcoaxarquia Group expands its organic production to Mexico

In accordance with its strategy of expansion and development of markets, on March 22, Alcoaxarquia Group, a company from Malaga, signed an exclusive contract with the Mexican firm Aguacaturry SPR to market the organic avocado they grow for the next 10 years.

Currently, they will market the avocado grown in 155 hectares, but in the coming years, they will incorporate the rest of the company's plantations, once they complete the period of conversion to organic, reaching a total of 480 hectares.

As a result, Aguacaturry will now become part of Alcoaxarquia Group's farm ecosystem, which will invest significantly in technical agronomic advice, obtaining certifications, and fruit processing. Aguacaturry will also benefit from the R+D+I line that Alcoaxarquia has been developing in collaboration with different research projects.

Both the orchards and the handling plant are located in the surroundings of Tepic, the capital of the state of Nayarit, south of Baja California and near the Pacific coast; a privileged location that promotes the high quality of their avocados.

Both companies have been collaborating for three campaigns on a common project that is consolidated in the 2022-23 season with the agreement they have just reached.

With this alliance, the Alcoaxarquia Group acquires the capacity to increase its organic production by 5,000 tons in the next 3 years, strengthening its offer in the period between October and January. Meanwhile, the Aguacaturry company ensures the commercialization of its crops and the enhancement of its product in the organic line, while gaining access to Alcoaxarquia's customer portfolio.
