Irritec and Netsens - strategic and commercial agreement for IoT agriculture

Irritec, a company working in the precision irrigation sector, and Netsens, a smart-farming company, have signed a strategic and commercial deal thanks to which Irritec will become part of Netsens' capital with a share of 30% against the 70% that will remain part of the Manes family.

Netsens will continue to operate autonomously on the Italian market, while Irritec will be the exclusive distributor of Netsens products on the international market. While still taking advantage of Netsens's technological assets and products, Irritec will extend its commercial offer to the entire Agriculture IoT sector for turnkey end-to-end solutions. The operation will allow Netsens to expand its commercial horizons and turnover volumes thanks to its relationship with the Irritec group.

"We are proud of this alliance with Netsens, which is based on years of collaboration and shared values. Our collaboration will enable us to strengthen our presence on the smart farming sector, offering services that are even more integrated to producers worldwide," explained Carmelo Giuffrè, president and CEO at Irritec.

"We expect that the collaboration with Irritec, which is based on mutual respect and full availability, will contribute to a further expansion of the company, which has already seen a constant increase in turnover with an average YoY increase of 30% over the past few years. The contribution of the Irritec management and the experience of its technicians will contribute to strengthening the industrial asset of the Company in view of the new challenges," said Antonio Manes, CEO at Netsens.

This fully-Italian partnership is part of an international development and diffusion program of an interconnected sustainable agricultural model that meets the needs of all types of crops efficiently and effectively, while preserving the natural resources and improving field and remote work.

This year too, Irritec attended Fruit Logistica at Hall 27, Stand B05. "Feedback was great with visitors from all over the world. Despite the current situation, we are very pleased with this edition of the German event," reported Area Sales Manager Palma Scaffidi.
