"We will be presenting our new system at Fruit Logistica. It is designed for facilities that are controlled by a web browser and app, where both customers and our service department can monitor and save all the temperature values of a cell on a cloud server. Our PLC is made according to customer specifications and meets all the requirements for Industry 4.0," said Federico Papini, sales representative at Monti & C., who announced their presence at the Berlin fair (hall 4.1 stand B04).

Papini agrees that the Vertical Farming industry is a fascinating one, and in some locations, it will become critical in the future. "Companies are always looking for new technologies with a lot of automation, which is definitely positive. The only downside is, again, the cost for managing and controlling all these new technological devices."
"I firmly believe that, even though we are operating at an industrial scale, we are still in the farming sector and that, by carefully designing indoor lighting, air conditioning, ventilation, fertirrigation and monitoring all parameters, we can achieve excellent product quality results, optimizing electrical consumption, costs and keeping maintenance effortless. And most importantly, by reducing the initial costs".
