McCain South Africa: Consumers urged to return frozen vegetables

McCain South Africa has recalled some of its frozen green beans and Spar-branded French stir-fries. The company says glass fragments, originating from a light fitting, were found in some bags.

The National Consumer Commission is urging consumers in possession of certain McCain sliced beans and Spar Stir Fry products to return them to the point of purchase. Thezi Mabuza from the National Consumer Commission spoke with eNCA's Tumelo Mothotoane about the situation.

Consumers are being asked to return the beans and stir fry mix which was all made between July and October 2021, carrying a best-before date in 2023.
