Allan Anderson - ANDFresh

"We have introduced the Frigga 4G range of Real Time Data Loggers"

AND Fresh is partnered with Frigga Tech and is the exclusive Australian & Australasia licensed dealer for Get Real Data Loggers powered by Frigga Tech.

Real Time Data Loggers are designed to provide reliable temperature monitoring for domestic and overseas shipments. With 3G global coverage, the Data Loggers can be used in both sea and air freight.

"In the last 6 months we have introduced the Frigga 4G range of Real Time Data Loggers, there are models with inbuilt temperature, light, humidity and shock sensors as well as giving location, these can also come with external 4mm temperature probes on 2-meter leads, ideal for monitoring pulp and ambient temperatures in shipping containers. All models are available as single use or reusable loggers," said Allan Anderson from ANDFresh.

Back in 2020 ANDFresh got funding to carryout trials to demonstrate to horticultural industries the advantages of monitoring the key elements during container shipping, monitoring product pulp temperature as well as air temperature within the containers, as well as sea freight transit times, using the Frigga Real Time Data Loggers and Frigga computer and phone app cloud software.

"The trials highlighted the importance of starting off with cold product in container to give the maximum shelf life at destination. Knowing the location and container conditions at any given point in time is one of the biggest benefits of using the data loggers. We have seen a very good uptake in the table grape, stone fruit, citrus, apple and pear industries, particularly with the onset of origin port delays, transhipping delays and destination port delays caused by the pandemic and related logistical problems."
