When you have a unique product you need a unique brand and packaging to make it stand out on the shelves at the retailers.
Gilad Sadan from Navi Global did just that for the Galaxy brand of stone fruit. The brand covers the Saturn flat peach and Sun Star and Pluto plums.
“This was a unique opportunity to create something different,” explains Gilad. “I wanted to draw attention to the brand and, going with the planet theme, we created the tag line ‘Flavours out of this world’ and designed a funky pack aimed at kids.”
The pack is a hybrid solution made from a recycled plastic punnet with a cardboard sleeve over it, it is 100% recyclable. The cardboard sleeve has cut outs so the consumer can easily see the fruit, this was integrated into the design, there are also figurines for kids to cut out.
“I have kids myself and they definitely helped inspire the design which has been very well received by retailers and consumers both in Australia and Asia. We have all been through difficult and sombre times these last two years and I thought it fitting to design something fun and cheerful, it’s what we all need just now.”
