"New structure will enable us to operate even more successfully in the future"

Bivano takes over lehmann natur

Bivano, with Olaf Kleinlein as Managing Director, is taking over lehmann natur and its subsidiaries, Biofrusan and Tesoribio. Friedrich Lehmann (right), founder of lehmann natur and permaculture visionary, will remain sole managing director and is looking forward to working closely with the new shareholder, based in Mönchengladbach. The takeover will enable lehmann natur to operate even more successfully in the future.

"We have now known each other for over 30 years. During this time, a valuable basis of trust has been built up. I am therefore certain that in Olaf Kleinlein I have found someone who shares my vision of
organic farming, appreciates lehmann natur's expertise and will do everything to further strengthen lehmann natur's position," says Friedrich Lehmann, Managing Director of lehmann natur. "The new shareholder structure will enable us to operate even more successfully in the market in the future," adds Lehmann. He is already looking forward to synergy effects that can expand lehmann natur's portfolio.

Direct import and cultivation according to Demeter guidelines
With its two own farms in southern Spain, lehmann natur successfully operates climate-positive agriculture according to permaculture and Demeter guidelines and sees this as a model for an agriculture of the future. Furthermore, lehmann natur is one of the most important representatives of biodynamic agriculture. Together with other companies in the food industry, the company is also involved in the Dialogue Forum for the Reduction of food waste for the responsible use of resources. In addition, it is a must for lehmann natur to assume social responsibility.

Farmers worldwide produce organic and biodynamic fruit and vegetables for lehmann natur. In order to achieve a high standard of quality in the logistics chain as well, lehmann natur operates its own organic packing station at its site in Korschenbroich, which processes 100 percent organic products. Since 2021, the seed brand LEHMANNS Bio-Saaten has complemented lehmann natur's commitment to thinking organic from A to Z.

With the new shareholder, lehmann natur GmbH strengthens its position in German organic agriculture in addition to its existing expertise in European sourcing, as well as overseas sourcing.
