In Brazil, the Council of the Investment Partnerships Program (CPPI) has recommended that president Jair Bolsonaro issue a decree to qualify enterprises in the hydro-agricultural and irrigation sector in a recent program. The recommendation is published in the Official Gazette (DOU) this Monday.
In all, seven projects could be included in the federal concessions program if the president heeds the CPPI recommendation. They are: Vale do Jequitaí Hydro-Agricultural Project, located in the state of Minas Gerais; Vale do Iuiú Irrigation Project, in Bahia; Chapada do Apodi Irrigation Project, in Rio Grande do Norte; Guadalupe Plateaus Irrigation Project, in Piauí; Tabuleiros Litorâneos Irrigation Project, in Piauí; Tabuleiros de São Bernardo Irrigation Project, in Maranhão; and Baixo Acaraú Irrigation Project, in Ceará.
