Chilean cherry prices will continue to fall in the Chinese market

With the Spring Festival approaching, the consumption of New Year's goods ushered in a hot shopping period, and the fruit market is also very hot. With their bright color and sweet and sour taste, Chilean cherries have firmly occupied the leading position in the Spring Festival fruit market, and have become one of the "imported Spring Festival goods" that many people are keen on.

During January, with a large number of cherries from Chile entering the Chinese market, the retail price of cherries has also been declining. Although the price of cherries is high compared to fruits such as oranges, tangerines, apples, and crisp pears, it is still very popular among consumers.

In the fruit wholesale market, the price of 5kg JJ-grade cherries is around 300 RMB. In the past two days, the supply of cherries has been slightly tight, which has caused the price of cherries to rebound slightly. The price of JJJ-grade cherries in a 5kg pack has reached 450 RMB.

In November last year, cherries were mainly imported into China by air, and the price of 5kg per box exceeded 1,500 RMB. Around the end of December, sea cherries began to arrive in the Chinese ports gradually, and the price was also reduced to 600 RMB per box. In this way, the price of cherries has dropped significantly in the past three months. But in fact, the price of cherries this year is still higher than last year.

In the past, most people have bought cherries as gifts, and they may not intend to eat them themselves. In recent years, with the improvement of people's income levels, the acceptance of these rather expensive fruits has also increased, and the sales have been slowly driven up. The production also increased, and prices gradually fell. In addition, the price of cherries has a lot to do with the mode of transportation. The price of the first few batches of cherries delivered by air every year is still not low. With the opening of the sea shipment, the price of cherries will also decrease.

According to industry insiders, there will be another wave of cherries arriving by sea, and it is expected that prices will continue to drop in the next few days.
