On January 1st of this year, we welcomed Jurgen van der Wilk as Commercial Manager to our team. For some people, Jurgen is a familiar face, as he worked for us from 2008 till 2014. After 7 years of running his own business, he is returning to the familiar nest.
"Because of his previous period at Snijpunt and the new experiences he has gained as an entrepreneur, Jurgen is the right man for this position. In view of our sales and growth strategy, we need a specialist in the market of cut vegetables to help us to continue building our organization with this,” Mark van der Salm says about appointing Jurgen as Commercial Manager.
In the coming period, Jurgen will get reacquainted with the organization and our business relations, and we would like to visit you - where possible – to meet each other and discuss your wishes and challenges at the same time. Until then, we would like to briefly introduce Jurgen to you:
Jurgen is 35 years of age and lives with his family in Maasdijk. He previously worked for us as a Commercial Assistant and is, therefore, no stranger to the world of prepared vegetables. “I was in the right place, but a new adventure beckoned when a friend asked me to join him in the overseas export business. I seized the opportunity to try out entrepreneurship for myself."
During this adventure, he always kept in touch with Snijpunt. He is pleased to have been given the opportunity to return to the old nest with the experience of being an entrepreneur: “Together with the team, I am looking forward to intensifying contact with existing clients through visits and online tools. I also look forward to building new relationships to continue to grow as a company."
Jurgen sees his new role in the organization as a step that fits perfectly with the development of both the organization and his own. “I am now ready to put my experiences to work for Snijpunt’ growth ambitions.” Jurgen finds the question 'what is the most important thing you take with you from your time as an entrepreneur' a difficult one to answer. “It's not just one thing, but so much more. I am particularly proud of the fact that, as a small player in the market, we have been able to achieve relationships in 25 countries based on trust, partnership and offering specific solutions for each customers' needs.”
He has also learned a lot as an entrepreneur in all areas of business. “I look forward to using these experiences for Snijpunt and its relationships.”
