Het Packhuys has delivered Europe Retail Packing's seventh and eighth top seal machines. "They ordered and received the first machine, for packing grapes, in 2018. Europe Retail Packing's different branches then got several more machines. That includes complete blueberry and tomato packaging lines," says Pierre Hagenaars of the Dutch company, Het Packhuys.
Pierre Hagenaars of Het Packhuys and Arend Solleveld of Europe Retail Packing.
The latest lines consist of several parts. There is a box-feeding system, where operators place the filled grape trays on a conveyor belt. It also has a bypass for trays that have to be collected. Then there is an outfeed system that sends the empty boxes to the back of the line.
The Eclipse SL4 top seal machine has a thermo-transfer printer and a low friction outfeed. And it has a packing station to return the sealed trays to the boxes. Those are then placed on pallets. This process ensures efficiency. Europe Retail Packing can, thus, keep the grapes as fresh as possible.
"Ones thanks goes to Menno Reijgersberg, Arend Solleveld, and Zozk Shafik. They've trusted us through all these years. We wish Europe Retail Packing much success with these top seal machines. We hope our partnership will continue for a long time to come," concludes Pierre.
