United Kingdom: STEF Group and Nagel Group finalize the acquisition of Langdon Group

On December 31st 2021, STEF Group and Nagel Group announced the finalization of their agreement regarding the acquisition of Langdon Group Ltd by STEF Group.

A national specialist in temperature-controlled transport, Langdon Group is also a major actor in the import/export of fresh and frozen food products between the United Kingdom and continental Europe. Its 1,400 employees and 8 sites, perfectly spread out geographically, allow the group to serve 20,000 clients throughout the UK. Each year, the company handles nearly 2.7 million pallets on behalf of 2,000 clients. In 2020, its revenue reached 164 million euros [186 million USD].

For STEF Group, the acquisition of Langdon Group represents an important step in its network’s development strategy and an 8th country of operation in Europe. This acquisition also allows Nagel Group to progress in its strategy of concentrating its resources on its European activities, while keeping a solid partner in the United Kingdom.

Along with the operation, STEF Group also announced the finalization of the acquisition of LIA, a company which was previously 49% co-owned with the Nagel Group, and the 100% acquisition of Nagel Airfreight France.
