A.I.D. (Agriculture Industrial Development) has been operating for over 50 years in the antifreeze technology sector. In the past year, in order to mitigate the devastating effects caused by adverse weather events, the company has sold over 100 units of its two new anti-frost fan models.
Upper and lower reducers
The WMD170 and WMD230 models boast state-of-the-art propellers and a length of 5.93 and 6.10 meters respectively. Fifteen machines have been delivered all over Emilia Romagna - a leading producer region in Italy - over the past few days alone.
The 175 and 238 horsepower motors can be remotely controlled via smartphone - they can be turned on and off with a simple click, though ignition and switch-off temperatures can also be set.

"Our new fans are entirely interconnected with client management systems. They in fact hold 4.0 certifications, meaning our clients can benefit from a 50% tax credit and even apply for Sabantini incentives," explained Vincenzo Castiglione, agronomist and sales manager.

"Our R&D office experiments and manufactures in partnership with US company Amarillo, which produces super-efficient propellers that can reach distances unthinkable up to this day. We have also developed new reducers that can withstand the huge power produced by 238 horsepower Iveco motors and transfer it to the propeller to protect crops from frost."
