In January 2021, leading multinational avocado specialist Westfalia Fruit acquired a majority stake in Hausladen Fruchthandels Ltd, a major, family-owned fruit company headquartered in Munich, Germany. The integration process has been fully completed in November 2021 and with the change of name to Westfalia Fruit, the company is now an integral part of the Westfalia Fruit Group.
Westfalia Fruit has a strong presence in Germany and is successfully expanding into neighboring countries such as Austria, Italy, Slovenia and Switzerland. The company specializes in exotics such as avocado, mango, papaya and pomegranate as well as Southern European products.
