France: Seafrigo Group continues to grow with a new logistics platform of 60,000 m²

Seafrigo Group specializes in temperature-controlled food logistics. The group continues its development with a new temperature-controlled logistics platform of 60,000m² in the port area of Le Havre, in close proximity to the Seafrigo Logistics Platform flagship.

The two new buildings of 30,000m² each, property of the AG Real Estate group and operated by Seafrigo for a fixed period of 12 years, will run at full capacity by the end of the year to welcome the logistics flows of large-scale distribution and food companies.

This new complex was designed as a true multimodal hub that will help the company strengthen its CSR strategy: the buildings will soon be connected to the track and a quay will be created to boost the traffic and encourage modal transfer to the Parisian ports. At the social level, dozens of jobs will be created in the Havre area, making the company a driving force for the local economic development.

“We are proud to share this joint project with the Havre territorial management and to offer our clients this brand-new multimodal logistics platform, ideally located at the heart of the shipping area of the port,” explains Eric Barbé, chairman and CEO of Seafrigo Group. “Seafrigo Group will continue to grow in the coming years. Other projects are currently under study in France and abroad. Our commitment is to master the entire logistics chain in order to satisfy our partners.”

Baptiste Maurand, managing director of HAROPA PORT, claims to be “happy to support this ambitious expansion project. Today, the Seafrigo group is one of the main employers of the port area. This development is a strong marker of growth and stability for the sectors, the shared ambition being to contribute to making Le Havre a maritime metropolis and the Seine axis a multimodal corridor.”
