Starr Ranch Growers supports Nashville’s ‘The Store’ with holiday donation

Starr Ranch Growers concludes a hopeful harvest season with JUICI holiday donation to Nashville’s The Store.

Founded by Brad and Kimberly Paisley, The Store is a Nashville-based free grocery store that offers a healthy food experience for those that may need to shop for food to supplement their income during times of crisis and as they work toward self-sufficiency. The Store operates year-round, allowing people to shop for basic needs with no charge to those referred, or to the people or agencies that send them.

“Giving back to our communities is a key company pillar at Starr Ranch Growers, whether that’s our local communities in the Northwest or even across the nation,” says Brett Reasor, CEO of Starr Ranch Growers. “The holiday season can be challenging enough for families and individuals struggling with food security and every little contribution can collectively make a big impact to empower and support those in need.”

Starr Ranch Growers donated 49 boxes of JUICI apples throughout the holiday season and accompanied the donation with a festive merchandise display.

When the Washington-based company learned about The Store’s mission and impact within its Nashville community, it was eager to collaborate with ways to support - donating 49 boxes of fresh JUICI apples throughout the holiday season, accompanied with a festive merchandise display complete with informational cards, graphics and stickers to hand out to guests.

“The Store’s tagline: Love at the Core resonated with us and embodies everything we believe in at Starr Ranch Growers,” says Reasor. “We are humbled and proud to support an organization with such a powerful mission and are grateful to be able to provide JUICI to those in need of healthy options this holiday season.”

With a philosophy of community empowerment, The Store not only aims to solve hunger issues within the community, but it strives to empower guests to do their own shopping to provide a sense of dignity and a higher satisfaction with the food they are able to choose from.

“The Store is so grateful for the generous support of Starr Ranch Growers and its JUICI donation,” says Mari Clare Derrick, volunteer coordinator for The Store. “Access to fresh produce is a key element in our mission of serving others with dignity, and donations like this make it possible for us to consistently provide families with fresh fruits.”

The Store is pleased to work with Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee and others in providing a variety of products both perishable and non-perishable, and operate as a free grocery store because of the generous donations received from individuals and corporations.
