GB Railfreight present new service from Port of Tyne to Yorkshire and Midlands

GB Railfreight has introduced twice-weekly intermodal services from the Port of Tyne to Yorkshire, as well as weekly services from the Port of Tyne to the Midlands. The Port of Tyne welcomes intermodal traffic especially as it will bring relief to the strains created by an increase in consumer demand and the huge impact this has created for supply chains and the ability to provide goods throughout the UK.

GB Railfreight Ltd runs intermodal services to and from three of the largest ports in the UK, moving around 30% of all containerised traffic including High Cube containers via the Port of Felixstowe which serves Hams Hall, Birch Coppice, Doncaster, Rotherham and Manchester.
