Nearly 70% of imported cold chain goods enter the country through Dalian Port. Dalian is also an important cold chain storage and transportation base in China, with a total cold storage capacity of 405,000 tons, ranking first in China.
According to statistics, there are about 600,000 employees involved in imported cold chains in Dalian, with a large number and high mobility. The spread of the epidemic caused by overseas epidemics and imported cold chains and the pressure of prevention and control are huge.
Up to now, 14 employees in the first designated cold storage station in Dalian have been tested positive. This is also the third cold chain-related breakout in Dalian. The previous one occurred in December 2020 and the earlier one occurred in July 2020. This means that there have been three outbreaks related to the cold chain in Dalian.
