"We were almost scammed by an alleged Maldivian customer. This man placed an order with us and sent us a prepaid Swift, but the money never arrived," says the commercial department of Agrofresh Export Consortium.
"He ordered 4 pallets of table grapes from us, to be delivered by air. However, we realized in time that it was a scam and the goods stayed on the ground. It seems that this person has been acting in this way for more than 15 years in international markets, swindling exporters of fresh fruit and vegetables," they warn.
