A booming sector
The organic products business sector continues to grow. According to the 'Analysis of the characterization and projection of Spanish organic production in 2019', published by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, per capita consumption of organic products in 2019 increased by 7.7% over the previous year and stood at 50.2 euro per person a year.
The organic sector already accounts for 2.2% of total food consumption in Spain and spending on this type of food grew by 8.4%, reaching 2,363 million euro.
This is a great starting point for Sekai to further boost the sales of organic products among Spanish users, providing an additional marketing channel for companies and professionals.
