FIRA becomes World FIRA

The 6th edition of FIRA switches to hybrid mode

From December 7 to 9, 2021, at the Diagora Convention and Exhibition Center in Labège, near Toulouse, France, the 6th edition of FIRA, the agricultural robotics exhibition, will take place.

Organized by the GOFAR association (Global Organisation For Agricultural Robotics), FIRA is the event that brings together all the stakeholders in the agricultural robotics sector.

Each year the event gathers a growing number of participants with an increasingly important international scope. Although FIRA has historically been a physical event, last year, due to the pandemic, the event was held virtually. This year, however, the show holds a few surprises.

A new look for the 2021 edition
FIRA is changing its name to World FIRA!
This name change will make it easier to distinguish the regional FIRAs, which the organizers want to develop, from the annual event.

Another change: from now on, the event will take place in a hybrid format. "For this edition we wanted to bring together the best of 2019 with face-to-face meetings and the best of 2020 with virtual events, to deliver a hybrid format for this 6th edition," says Maialen Cazenave, co-director of GOFAR. A single event but two experiences: speakers, exhibitors, or visitors will have access to all services, whether they are online or on-site, connected by a mobile app allowing everyone to follow the content and participate in meetings.

2,000 participants are expected online and 1,000 visitors are expected on site.

Participants will be able to attend round tables, robot demonstrations, thematic workshops, B2B meetings as well as an exhibition area. A new feature this year is the setting up of a job corner to put professionals and candidates in touch with each other.
