Valle Verde became the country's leading exporter of Tahiti lime

"We want to organize the entire Colombian lime industry to access North American and European markets"

Valle Verde, the Tahiti lime packing and cold storage plant in Apartado (Antioquia), became Colombia's largest exporter of Tahiti limes in August.

According to data provided by the company, Valle Verde has exported 1.5 million dollars worth of Tahiti lime so far in 2021 and plans to export 2.5 million in 2022, shipping the Colombian product to different destinations, such as the United States and Europe, and directly integrating more than 60 partner farms in 9 departments of the country.

“Valle Verde has been an incredible project so far. Our foreign investors are very happy to have invested in Colombia, they believe in the development of this country and especially in its agricultural sector. In 2019 we raised 2.5 million dollars in investment to create the project."

"Our goal is to organize the entire Colombian lemon industry to formalize it and to access the North American and European markets so that our investors, producers, and suppliers can profit," stated Dax Cooke, the founder of Farmfolio, the Colombia-based agribusiness investment and management firm that was founded in 2015 and manages Valle Verde.
