The Kiwi Passion Consortium meets its farmers in Latina

Last Thursday September 23rd an informative technical meeting was held in Aprila promoted by the KiwiPassion Consortium at Antonio Notaro's Red Passion kiwifruit plantation, a 6-hectare orchard in its third year with a production of over 15 tons per hectare.

Membership was beyond expectations with around 100 growers and insiders attending the event. During the visit to the field, the Consortium technicians illustrated the characteristics and cultivation techniques and the participants had the opportunity to compare and get to know the potential of the variety and the agronomic practices to hit relevant production targets.

Following the visit to the field, a conference was held by the President Nicola Negri who made an in-depth analysis on the general functioning of the Consortium, the strategies and the goals set in the short and medium term.

The day ended with an extremely positive feedback from producers who showed great interest in Red Passion, the Consortium's premium variety, which is already working to organize technical initiatives in other production areas in the near future to promote their own varieties and give technical support to their farmers.
