The company Frutos Los Pisaos, from the Spanish municipality of Motril, has started the 2021/2022 campaign with a new name, and is now called Eco Group. The family company, managed by Francisco García Pérez and with Miguel García Pérez in the board of directors, has decided to change its name due to the advanced age of Mr. Francisco García Mota, father of both and founder, who has retired after more than 30 years in the sector.
The new company is keeping the employees, facilities and farmland of Frutos Los Pisaos. Eco Group Spain will continue to develop its activity as a producer and marketer of organic and Demeter vegetables.
The forecasts for the new season include a 35% increase in butternut volumes and a 24% growth for sweet potatoes. The rest of the products that make up its portfolio, namely red and green cabbage, Dutch cucumber, potato and eggplant, will also record increases.
