Peter Bouman, FMI, the Netherlands:

"Good lime sales despite larger volumes"

The lime market has been excellent in recent months. That's according to Peter Bouman of FMI in the Netherlands. "Volumes have been higher from particularly Brazil. Despite that, sales are still running steadily. Lime demand and consumption are good. However, several logistical problems in Brazil have caused delays. Especially the damage to the Cap San Antonio."

"The overseas lemon market also got off to a strong start. The Verna season ended early. That's created stronger demand for overseas lemons. Volumes from Argentina to Europe are lower than last year too. So, prices are currently a lot higher," the importer concludes.
