The new NestBox is dedicated to the production of stackable/insertable multi-purpose boxes. The first of the series is now almost ten years old. The NestBox is a specific crate, designed for harvesting lettuce and baby leaf in open fields. It is designed to preserve the specific characteristics of the products, allowing part of the processing to be carried out on site.
A key feature of the NestBox crate is its 1:6 stacking ratio, which significantly optimizes reverse logistics costs, with efficient storage of 300 crates per lso Pallet (mm 1000x1200), and greatly reduces environmental impact due to lower CO2 emissions during usage.
Its two-color design allows operators and automated systems to quickly detect the direction of stacking. This results in faster and safer handling, which facilitates the handling of the boxes. Thanks to the holes at the bottom and on the sides, ventilation is homogeneous, and the design of the internal structure with no sharp edges or corners ensures maximum product integrity.
The slightly curved bottom on the inside keeps the product off the ground and therefore cleaner during outdoor harvests. Holes on the edge of the bottom prevent liquids from collecting, making the NestBox one of the most hygienic crates on the market.
The top border has been designed with a wider and higher edge to better distribute the weight of the stacked boxes and avoid deformation.
Stacking stability is guaranteed. There are 8 anti-tip indentations at the top, 2 on each side, that keep the NestBoxes firmly anchored to each other. In addition, the new outer corners of the top frame have been rounded to facilitate the insertion of strapping and provide greater stability to the pallets.
The NestBox can be customized with your own company logo, either by hot stamping or embossing.
