By now, the fact that the demand for packaging has increased due to the corona crisis is no longer a secret. In fact, it has become common knowledge. As a result, the people at Duijndam Machines, international buyer and seller of second-hand machines, notice an increase in the demand for packaging machines.
“The demand for temporary machines has increased in particular,” Robbert Duijndam notices. Robbert and his brother Maurijn, with whom he took over their father's family business in the past year, receive more and more requests for packaging machines. “Because we offer well-maintained, second-hand machines for a fraction of the price a new machine would cost, it is a responsible option for many companies to invest and play into this new development.”
Entire product lines
Over the past few years, Duijndam Machines bought entire product lines of packaging machines from Prominent and Purple Pride, among others. Both companies, active in the retailing and packaging of tomatoes and eggplants, invested in new uniform machines due to merging packaging centers to a single new location. Those machines are now available to new users. “We always have a good stock of machines. For example, at the moment we can supply multiple flow packers, cucumber sealers, labeling machines, and turntables.”
The complete, current assortment can be found on the van Duijndam Machines website. Some examples of the machines currently available are shown below.
