First China Mango Industry Conference taking place in Baise

On July 19, the 2021 China Mango Industry Conference started in Tiandong County, Baise City, Guangxi. More than 400 people including well-known experts and scholars in the field across China, persons in charge of relevant departments, and representatives of production, sales, and processing companies participated in the conference.

With a planted area of over 1.33 million mu and a production of 760,000 tons, Baise is the largest mango producing area in the region. Driven by this, Guangxi's mango industry has been developing rapidly and has become one of the main industries that consolidate the results of poverty alleviation.

In the past five years, China's fresh mangoes and processed products have been in short supply, and the market prospects are broad. With rich resources for growing mangoes, world-leading scientific research abilities, and continuous innovations in processing technologies, a number of brands with market popularity and influence have emerged in China, such as "Baise mangoes”, "Panzhihua mangoes”, "Sanya mangoes” and "Huaping mangoes”. The Youjiang River Valley in Baise has abundant water, soil, light and heat resources, and has become China’s largest mango production area.

In the future, Baise will use this conference as an opportunity to learn from the advanced experience of various regions to accelerate the transformation and upgrading of the local industry. A series of signing ceremonies were also held at the opening ceremony. Under the framework of the conference, the China Mango Industry Achievement Exhibition and the Baise Tiandong Mango Cultural Activity Month also took place.
