Dutch company develops complete collapsible crate processing machine series

"Increasing demand for smart solutions to automatically fold, unfold collapsible crates"

In Europe, the transition from rigid to collapsible crates is in full swing. "More and more companies are looking for smart solutions," says André ter Braake of Bateq, a Dutch engineering company. "They want to fold or unfold these collapsible crates automatically."

"Workers were supposed to 'just' unstack, unfold, fill, and stack these crates by hand. That idea soon became old. Unstacking, unfolding, and stacking isn't only very labor-intensive, it's also mind-numbing work. So, businesses soon saw their effective output drop. Our customers wondered how they could save on the cost of unfolding crates," André concludes.

So, Bateq developed a complete series of machines. They can fully automatically process pallets and (collapsible) crates. Everything uses compact 'plug & play' modules. These can be easily added to complete production lines.
