According to Belarusian Deputy Agriculture and Food Minister Aleksei Bogdanov, Belarus is ready to help Russia with potato supplies. His comment came in response to a recent statement by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Viktoria Abramchenko, who said Russia was discussing the possibility of buying potatoes in Belarus in order to stabilize prices on the domestic market.
Bogdanov said: “If they want some, we will surely oblige. Belarus always lends its shoulder to Russia. They help us out in many matters. We will cooperate in this regard, too. Belarus is ready to help with this matter if it is truly necessary.”
