Thanks to partnership agreement signed between SCAAP Kiwifruits de France and EURALIS

Increased volumes projected for Primland

"SCAAP Kiwifruits de France is the leading producer of kiwifruit in France. The group collectively produces 16,100 tons of green, yellow and mini kiwifruit while France produces a total of 55,000 tons.

This French production has fallen by an average of 12,000 tons since 2016! The south-west produces 80% of French kiwifruit.

In response to this situation, our management has decided to find solutions to reverse this production curve and to use new means to find and convince new producers to diversify their operations to include kiwifruit.

SCAAP and EURALIS have joined forces with a view to achieving this shared objective. EURALIS’s decision to devote itself to providing technical and strategic consultancy for producers and to stop its activity of selling phytosanitary products (as required by the Egalim law) was a key factor that enabled this collaboration.

We are very happy with this foundation agreement because it legitimizes EURALIS’s move towards a commitment to advising farmers, and will also help producers in the region to maintain a dynamic of fruit production and allow a cooperative such as SCAAP to achieve its development objectives.

EURALIS and SCAAP’s shared objective is to strengthen the resilience and profitability of family farms in our territory through the diversification and professionalization of production activities.

Food sovereignty in France is an issue that affects everyone and is also reflected in this agreement and its impact on territories in the South West."

This initiative should result in the development of 600 hectares by 2030 and enable an increase in marketing volumes of Oscar green kiwifruit, Oscar Gold yellow kiwifruit and NERGI mini kiwifruit for Primland's loyal customers.
