The German Grimme company is a leading European manufacturer and supplier of agricultural machinery; it operates throughout the UK. Now it has relocated to a £3 mln purpose-built facility in east Yorkshire.
Grimme, which has a £45 mln turnover in the UK, has moved from Dunnington, York, into the larger 17,700 ft2 base in Market Weighton. The new premises has underfloor heating, a workshop with a gantry crane, stores and three floors of offices together with a service yard and outbuildings for storage and servicing.
According to thebusinessdesk.com, the move was supported by property and construction consultants LHL Group, managing the entire development process including the demolition of existing on-site farm buildings, design, planning and the building contract awarded to Lindum Group.
