Dr Samir El-Naggar, Chairperson of Daltex, has spoken on Egypt’s success at penetrating the Japanese orange market. He made clear that Daltex’s orange products could only enter that market came after competing with many companies, when it was able to apply the strict agricultural standards of Japan.
El-Naggar praised the role of Egypt’s Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, ElSayed ElKosayer. He also lauded the people of the Egyptian Agricultural Quarantine Department. Their contributions to the negotiation process were essential for exporting the Egyptian oranges to Japan. Daltex CEO Hesham El-Naggar also expressed his contentment with this success.
El-Naggar wanted to emphasize that the shipment of Egyptian oranges to Japan is not an individual success. It could not have been achieved without full cooperation between all Egyptian agencies, whether at ministerial level, at the level of regulatory agencies, or even customs agencies that were eager to achieve this unprecedented success.
As reported on dailynewsegypt.com, the Agricultural Quarantine Department has been following the shipment updates 24/7 for six weeks until the container reached Japan.
