Strategic organic partnership carries over to upcoming show

The Organic Produce Network (OPN) and Western Growers (WG) have formed a strategic partnership reflecting the importance of organic production and announced that WG will be the presenting sponsor of the Organic Grower Summit 2021.

Organic Grower Summit 2021 presented by Western Growers and OPN will be held at the Hyatt Regency Monterey Resort in Monterey, CA December 1-2. Exhibitor registration will open in May with general registration slated to open in June.

The live and in-person event provides growers knowledge and information in a variety of areas ranging from agtech to food safety to sustainability. Organic Grower Summit 2021 presented by Western Growers and OPN will provide both organizations an opportunity to offer their members and subscribers greater access to information, education and networking opportunities on new organic products, services and technology.

“Many Western Growers members are heavily invested in organic production, and many others are considering a move into organic production for the first time. The Organic Grower Summit is a great opportunity for growers in either position to get the latest in innovation and industry trends impacting the organic segment for fresh produce,” said Dave Puglia, president and CEO of Western Growers.

Founded in 2017, the Organic Grower Summit brings together organic growers, producers and processors for two days of education, information and networking opportunities with their production supply chain and service provider partners. Since its inception, the summit has become recognized as an event showcasing the latest in technology, food safety and soil and plant health for the organic community.

“Western Grower members produce more than half of the fresh produce grown in the United States, and nearly half of the country’s fresh organic produce. Partnering with WGA will solidify the Organic Grower Summit as a place for organic specialty crop growers to get all the latest information on the organic industry,” said Matt Seeley, CEO and co-founder of Organic Produce Network.
