Nowadays, the use of plastics within agriculture is increasingly being criticized. In fruit growing, too, attempts are now more and more often being made to dispense with plastic by means of sophisticated alternatives. However, these environmentally friendly alternatives should also be robust and easy to handle.
These advantages are now met via the new Ankerfix Easy Fast Binding. "The product's long service life and ease of handling ultimately mean that less plastic will be wasted," says Raimund Genetti, managing director of Genetti ECO and licensee of the product.
The Ankerfix Bindings are offered in sizes 5 cm, 8 cm and 16 cm.
Alternative to plastic ties
"As the plants have to be tied up several times during cultivation, plastic ties have been used predominantly up to now. The binding rubber alternative had already been available for several years, but only at very high prices," Genetti explains.
Thanks to the new Ankerfix product and its UV guarantee, the product can now increasingly be used in the fruit and wine-growing sectors, Genetti concludes.
