Best convenience packaging

Cultivar's grape packaging wins first prize at World Food Innovation Awards 2021

Cultivar, in partnership with Alzamora Group, has developed an innovative packaging format for grapes that has won the award for "Best Convenience packaging" at the World Food Innovation Awards 2021.

In its evaluation, the jury highlighted the reduction of plastic use while maintaining functionality and aesthetic appeal.

The goal of the new design was to create a 750g package for seedless grapes that would eliminate the need for plastics, while still allowing the fruit to be on display and be appealing.

"By using these cardboard cups, we no longer need plastic ones. We have been working for some time in the search for new, more sustainable formats with a lower environmental impact. Consumers are becoming more and more demanding in this regard and we want to meet that demand," said Cultivar.
