Madi Ventura, an Italian company specializing in dried fruit, has been rewarded as Product of the Year 2021 for its new Ventura - Scorta Verde range.
"This year, consumers voted for Scorta Verde, the new Ventura line that puts the environment first thanks to 100% biodegradable compostable packaging that holds the OK Compost certificate," explain the managers.
The OK Compost certification guarantees the compliance with EU regulation EN 13432 on compostability in industrial composting systems. Composting can significantly reduce the volume of organic waste, while the compost produced can be used in agriculture.

In addition, considering that sustainability is the main issue in the third millennium, Prodotto dell'Anno reserves a special mention to the 10 most sustainable products and services, and the Ventura Scorta Verde line was part of them.
The Ventura Scorta Verde range is made up of maxi 350 or 500 gram bags:
- Roasted and salted pistachios - 350 g
- Shelled walnuts - 350 g
- Shelled almonds - 500 g
- Mix (raisins, peeled almonds, shelled hazelnuts and walnuts) - 500 g
Now in its 16th edition, the Prodotto dell'Anno recognition is the Award for Innovation based exclusively on the votes of consumers. It promotes new and innovative products and makes them more visible thanks to a special logo.
Candidate products are voted by a panel of 12,000 consumers via the leading consumer market research on Innovation in Italy, a tool that enables companies to know the opinion of those making purchases and help them meet various needs. Innovation and satisfaction are essential criteria to select all types of products.
