Quality inspection tool for agri food, the high-speed 3D scanner

The High-Speed 3D Scanner of Wageningen University & Research can help growers, traders, packers, transporters, objectively assess the quality of their products as far as size and shape are concerned. It is a Agro Food Robotics precision instrument to objectively measure and analyse the size and shape of agri- and food products in all parts of the production chain from harvest to retail.

It has a 360-degrees ring-scan. Because of the high-speed scanning (up to about 20 km/h) it can handle a complete batch of products instead of just a sample, a big advantage compared to other scanning equipment. It is equipped with a ring of 3 (or more) line-scan cameras of choice, combined with a powerful software package to capture images, measure size and shape in an objective way.

The High-Speed 3D Scanner saves time and is available 24/7. The software has multiple analysis possibilities: measure length, largest diameter, volume, detect spots on products. Interested? contact paul.goethals@wur.nl Agro Food Robotics Wageningen University & Research
