Since 1 January 2021, Yex and the grower cooperatives, Avor, SPOT and FV SeleQt fall under a new holding company: Farmhouse International. This international cooperation with and for growers offers customers a wide range of surprising fruit and vegetables all year round.
Farmhouse International has its own farms for avocado, sweet potato and fine vegetables and now has, with Yex, an importer of exotic fruits and vegetables and soft fruit. Farmhouse International stands for short, sustainable chains, where transparency and efficiency are guaranteed.
Good and healthy food chains
Buyers are finding it increasingly important to buy their products close to the source. They need more transparency about the product and demand product certainty, both in quantity and quality. By shortening the chain through backward integration, we can meet these demands from retailers. Farmhouse believes it is important to continue to guarantee good and healthy food chains in the long term.
Farmhouse International has therefore entered into joint ventures with several growers: FV SeleQt for fine vegetables, SPOT for sweet potatoes and, since 1 January 2021, Avor for avocados. In order to be able to deliver the right quality all year round, Farmhouse International also cooperates with carefully selected growers all over the world. Yex imports a wide range of exotic vegetables, exotic fruit and soft fruit from all over the world. This makes Farmhouse International the right source for a wide range of surprising vegetables and fruit.
For growers, Farmhouse is an interesting way to gain access to the European market. They can focus on cultivation, while Farmhouse International takes care of matters such as marketing and logistics. Farmhouse wants to move away from a traditional customer-supplier relationship towards partnerships, paying attention to all the links in the chain. In short: doing business together. The slogan 'connecting smiles' illustrates this and stands for a smile on the land and at the table.
